Day 1:

After arriving at Maun Airport - Botswana's gateway to the Okavango Delta - you will meet your Mack Air representative and be transferred to Domestic Departures for your light aircraft charter to Moremi. FAQs Your flight will take you over the glistening waters of the Delta as you head to Moremi and you may be lucky to see herds of Elephant, Giraffe and Buffalo roaming around below! You will arrive at Xakanaxa Airstrip, where you will be greeted by your Encounter Okavango guide for the trip and you will take a short game drive from the Airstrip to camp, where you will receive a briefing from your guide. Your camp will be set up in an area commanding exceptional views of the surround floodplains and savannah, which is consistently dotted with the local game. After settling into camp and being assigned your traditional yet spacious safari tent - which will be yours for the stay - you will head out for a late-afternoon game drive and sundowners in the bush before returning back to camp for dinner and socialising around the campfire under the stars listening to whooping of the Hyenas and the even the roaring of Lions.

In Khwai, you will also have the chance to do a ‘night drive’ after dinner, where we can go searching for the rarer nocturnal creatures of the bush with a spotlight - such as Genets, Civerts, Springhares, Porcupines and the majestic Servals.

Please review our terms and conditions before booking your safari.
These guidelines cover important details on rates, itineraries,
cancellations, and other essential travel information
to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

• Rates are in US Dollars and per person sharing per stay.

• We are a sharing mobile-tented safari with up to 6 guest tents and 12 pax.

• Groups of 5+ automatically receive a private safari.

• We book guest itineraries on a first-come, first-served basis to lock in our schedule.

• Minimum age to travel is 12 years old.

• Upon cancellation or change in travel dates, Encounter Okavango Safaris may need to pass on amendment costs.

• The exact itinerary is dependent on client preference and/or availability.

• Validity periods are as specified above – should a booking fall over two rate periods, the rate will change and we reserve the right to re-quote.

• Rates quoted are subject to change without prior warning and subject to increases in bed levies, park fees, fuel, sales tax or VAT, ROE, third-party services, or any other circumstances beyond our control in the countries featured in this quote.

• Regional flights to/from Maun are excluded from the offer (please see listed prices for these).
